The "Villa Mozart" Residence is a historical villa erected around 1500. In the 17th century, Earl Settimio Becchetti started the planned tillage of the ground and the planting of various sorts of long-lived trees that still give shade. The villa was restructured with greath care in 1985.
The Location
The "Villa Mozart" Residence, (formerly a 18th century convent) is 6 Kms south of Gubbio. Set among undulating hills and fields, surrounded by tamarinds and cypresses, with the only sound the song of birds by day, and by night the glow of fire-flies, it is an inland island of tranquillity and peace. In the quietness of the countryside, not far away from Gubbio (6 Km), with direct access to the towns of Perugia, Assisi, Urbino, Orvieto, and Todi, and with the possibility of reaching Rome in two hours by train, Villa Mozart offers 100,000 sq.m. of lawns, long walks, a swimming pool, (7x15m), bowling courts, a volley-ball court, color TV in every apartment, table tennis, a playground for children, a barbecue, and private car parking.
